Since its inception, jazz has been popular with people of all ages. It is a truly American art form that has greatly influenced other genres of music around the world. It is known for its unique blend of syncopated rhythms, improvisation, and polyphonic ensemble playing.
This music is often considered the perfect accompaniment to gambling, and many gaming clubs offer jazz-themed games and promotions. Sol Casino , Australia's highest rated licensed online platform, offers the largest selection. Whether you play online slots, roulette, blackjack or poker, you can enjoy a taste of jazz and win big at the project!
The perfect atmosphere for gambling
Jazz fits perfectly into a casino atmosphere. The cool, sophisticated sound of this genre creates a relaxing and inviting atmosphere that is perfect for gambling. And because of its popularity, there is no shortage of great music to choose from for background sound.
The artists of the Australian Piano Quartet thought about what songs they would recommend for relaxing at the slot machines, and the guys compiled their top for visitors to Sol Casino.
Whether you're looking for classic standards or modern interpretations, all of these compositions will be to your liking. Rebecca and Daniel's most beloved compositions are:
- 1. "A Night in Tunisia" by Dizzy Gillespie.
This bebop classic is one of the most popular jazz tunes of all time, and for good reason. With a captivating melody and energetic rhythm, the composition will keep you bored and add excitement.
- 2. Dave Brubeck's "Take Five."
This standard has a catchy 5/4 time signature that is perfect for setting the mood in any setting. The quiet tempo and simple melody make it easy to listen to, even for those unfamiliar with jazz.
- 3. "So What" by Miles Davis.
This is an iconic tune. The simple melody and calm groove don't distract from the game, so it can be a backdrop even for the demanding focus of poker or blackjack.
Thomas seems to adore Miles Davis, and he also plays Sol Casino himself. He listed his two favorite poker songs as "All Blues" and "Kind of Blue." The former features a shuffle rhythm and soulful melody, while the latter is part of one of the greatest jazz albums of all time.
A collaborative jazz project
Few people know that the musicians of the Australian Piano Quartet (APQ) once started out working in restaurants and casinos.
For many people, music is the ultimate form of expression. But for others, it's just a way to make a living.
Such is the case with musicians at various establishments, who often play the same tunes over and over again for hours on end.
"It could be pretty exhausting," says pianist Daniel de Bora, who has played in gambling clubs for more than 10 years. He was involved, by the way, in recording the first music when Sol Casino launched in Australia. "It was a job, and it paid the bills. Now I'm doing what I've dreamed of all my life - playing music of my own composition and works by great composers for my own enjoyment."
James Wannan worked at a gambling house in Sydney for a long time:
"I've always liked the energy of the casino," he said. "And I like the fact that you never know who you're going to meet." Wannan is one of many musicians who have found a way to make a living playing the same tunes over and over again.
Given the experience of his longtime friends, the online casino offered to create his own selection of tunes exclusively for club play. So users of the site will soon be able to hear the unique music when playing slots and table games. This really is an amazing collaboration.
And in October, Sol Casino will support a quartet concert at the Sydney Opera House. There the audience will be able to hear both well-known classic jazz tunes and compositions written especially for the gaming club. Tickets are on sale now!
